Warm Weather Sparks Dry Fly Fishing

South Boulder Creek is very low but a stealthy approach with dry flies in the deeper runs will yield some nice rainbows. This afternoon there were small mayflies (size 24) and black stones (size 18). The fish were focused on the later. I happen to have had a size 20 black midge with a light-gray antron tail and a snowshoe rabbit wing (dun shade). The fish just couldn't get enough of this fly.
