According to the Denver Post artist Christo's plan to drape the Arkansas River has been delayed by one year to August 2015. The
proposed two-week exhibition of 5.9 miles of fabric stretched across
several portions of the river in Bighorn Canyon between Parkdale and
Salida was most recently scheduled for August 2014. But back in the
mid-1990s, when the artist first floated plans to panel the river in polypropylene fabric, the temporary display was scheduled as early as
2001. Then 2003. Then 2008.
Good News!
